Who we are

Hello and welcome to NM Tallow Co! My name is Kaitlin and I’m excited to be your host.  A little about me and my “why” for creating tallow products.  I’m a mom of 3 very active, rambunctious girls and married to my high school sweetheart.  I’ve had eczema and dry skin since I was a toddler.  I think I’ve used every over-the-counter product geared toward eczema with claims that included “dermatologist tested”, “all natural”, and “hydrating”, that not only burned when applied, but left my skin feeling even more irritated, red and rashy than before I used the product.  Unfortunately, I’ve passed this skin condition on to my girls, and I hate seeing them suffer the way I have my entire life, so it was time for a change.

At some point, I ordered a tallow-based product thinking, “Boy, this is pricey, but what do I have to lose?” I already have a cabinet full of ointments and creams that don’t work, so why not add to the collection?  But the tallow product was different.  It didn’t burn my skin and I actually started getting relief from this condition that’s plagued me since I was a child, and the girls were benefiting from it, too.   I immediately started working on creating a high quality, all-natural, nourishing balm that would be more cost effective than the products I was seeing online, and that’s how NM Tallow Co. was born. 

All NM Tallow Co. balms are created in small batches by me, with the love and support of my family.  I am so grateful that you’ve taken time to read this far and look forward to serving you as I continue to create new products that nourish our skin and help keep us healthy!  Thank you for your considering NM Tallow Co. for your skin care!
